Support Homeless Veterans

Help support 24 O.U.R House's efforts to raise funds for homeless veterans. The services and resources provided to ensure uninterrupted stable, sober, and safe living for veterans come from donations. Our biggest fundraiser happens every year in November, and it's a show you want to attend. Please plan to join us on November 9th and bring friends and family along.

It is with pleasure to welcome you to our Annual Fundraiser for Homeless Veterans. The profits collected through the participation of this event will vitally provide an opportunity to be productive citizens of society. With your help, we look forward to accomplishing our goals by providing transitional housing for all veterans who are homeless, disabled, or displaced due to unforeseen circumstances. We thank you for making an impact in supporting this worthwhile cause.

"I salute a beautiful heart that worked to keep our country free."

The Annual Fundraiser is held the first week of November in the Crystal Sky Banquet Hall in Mccook County, IL.
The evening starts with the National Anthem after all guests get checked in and settled into their tables in the beautiful banquet hall.
A delicious 3-course meal is served to all participants, followed by live musical entertainment. Various raffles take place, along with exceptional lip-syncing performances.

The keynote speaker expresses an inspirational message, often focused on the importance of the contribution of the men and women who served our country, the United States of America. 24 O.U.R House values community service and honors all veterans; therefore, various community leaders and members of different military branches are invited and presented with an award.

“America without her soldiers would be like God without his angels.” —Claudia Pemberton

The table is round - to show our everlasting concern for our fallen comrades.

The tablecloth is white - symbolizing the purity of their motives when answering the call to duty.

The single red rose, displayed in a vase - reminds us of the life of each of our fallen comrades, the loved ones and friends of these comrades who keep the faith.

The rose vase is tied with a yellow ribbon to symbolize our continued determination to remember our fallen comrades.

The slices of lemon on the bread plate remind us of the bitter fate of those who will never return.

A pinch of salt symbolizes the tears endured by the families of those who sacrificed everything.

The Holy Bible represents the strength gained through faith to sustain those lost in our country.

The glass is inverted; they cannot toast with us today.

The chair is empty because they are no longer with us.

LET US REMEMBER - AND NEVER FORGET THEIR SACRIFICE.
